Pine Plains Estates is a new subdivision located along the Route 91 Corridor on 84 acres of wooded land in the Eastern plains of Whately, Massachusetts. The location is off Long Plain Road, which runs parallel with the Connecticut River, 1.5 miles to its West and a .5 mile north of the town of Hatfield line.

Routes 91, 116 and 5 & 10 are less than 3 miles from the subdivision for easy commuting to all the major employment areas in the Pioneer Valley and the five colleges (Smith College, Amherst College, Hampshire College, Mt. Holyoke College and UMass Amherst).

Pine Plains Estates is designed using LID (low impact development) principles. This allows the land and mature trees to remain untouched in areas and creates a pleasing streetscape with “rain gardens” and existing trees.

The design includes 32 acres of protected conservation land for passive recreation including nature walks, cross country skiing, birdwatching and the like.

When complete, Pine Plains Estates will have 40 homes built on about an acre of land each.  Reasonable deed restrictions and a homeowners association will ensure Pine Plains Estates will always be  a wonderful place to call HOME.

Your new home can be designed and built by a contractor of your choosing or we can assist with that process.
